Tired and overwhelmed? Dealing with the stress of work, family situations, or chronic illness?
Try One Day of Mindfulness Mindfulness is a proven method to cultivate awareness, reduce stress, and improve health and well-being.
This day retreat is modeled after one developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph. D., who developed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course for the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1979. The day will include sitting meditation, walking meditation, the body scan, mindful movement, mindful eating, and mindfulness in nature, along with instruction and inspiration. Nancy Rhodes, a certified labyrinth facilitator, will guide an optional labyrinth walk. This is a day of self care, rest, renewal, and healing.
The cost for the day is $50 ($40 for repeat participants).
Bring your own sack lunch. Tea and water provided.
